lately in my kitchen...homemade veggie pizza!

I´ve been thinking of making pizza at home for about two months now, but I was too lazy everytime I  remembered the first and only time I had made it before. Yeah, if you are not used to spend some time in a messy kitchen, making pizza dough can be a bit tricky, but trust me, it´s sooooo worth it... I had made it only once before and it was more than one year ago! it turned out super good. While I was eating today´s homemade pizzas (not one, but two), I wondered how I could let go so long without baking it again... For the dough, I adapted a recipe I found in Directoalpaladar.

Ingredients for 2 medium pizzas (about 30cm): 300g wheat flour and a little more for kneading, 200g warm water, half teaspoon salt, 25g fresh yeast, 15-20g extra virgin olive oil, tomato sauce, 1 large zucchini, a large green pepper, 2 tomatoes, 200g mozzarella, oregano and fresh basil leaves.
And this is how to: in a large bowl put 300g flour and mix with salt. Make a hole in the center. In another bowl, dilute the yeast in warm water. It is important that water was not too hot, because yeast is a living microorganism and if it dies the dough does not rise. Pour this mix into the flour and then the oil. Stir well with a fork until the dough separates from the bowl. Put the dough on a floured surface and knead for about ten minutes, crushing, stretching and folding the dough with the heel of your hands. Sprinkle small amounts of flour on the surface and on your hands frequently so the dough does not get sticky. Once the dough is smooth and elastic, place it in a bowl previously brushed with oil and cover with plastic film. Let it ferment at room temperature until doubled in size. Put it back on the floured surface and flatten slightly with your fists to release the gas that was produced during fermentation. Cut the dough in two portions and stretch it with a rolling pin until they are thin. Preheat oven to 220-230 ° C while you put the toppings on the pizzas. I've tried to put the ingredients in a different order to see how I like best, and the olive pizza is the winner: first the tomato sauce, fresh tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, mozzarella, oregano, olives and fresh basil (after baking). Bake 15 minutes at 230 ° C or until golden and crisp.

¿Habíais probado alguna vez a hacer pizza casera?
Have you ever tried to make homemade pizza? The dough recipe is always the same, but you can choose the toppings you like the best. If you try, tell me how it is!

PS: Fresh basil makes the difference, and having a little pot with aromatics costs pennies...I have mine in my balcony, sharing a tiny window box with the chives.
