It is not that I like to eat such exotic dishes everyday, I'm actually a big fan of traditional Spanish food, but occasionally, I like to experiment. The other day I was doing the shopping and I saw these packages of rice paper so I decided to prepare some Thai style rolls. As they turned out super easy, healthy and yummy, I thought this recipe was the perfect candidate to be shared here in HilaTina. So here it goes...

Ingredientes (para 10 rollitos)/ Ingredients (makes 10 rolls):
10 hojas de papel de arroz /10 rice paper sheets
2 zanahorias grandes / 2 big carrots
6-8 hojas de lechuga / lettuce leaves
10 langostinos cocidos/ 10 cooked shrimps

Y así se hace /And here´s how to...

Cut the carrots into thin sticks and chop the lettuce and mint leaves. Cut the shrimps in halves, lengthwise. In a large bowl, add hot water. Put a sheet of rice paper in the water and leave it there for 5 minutes. Extend it in a clean cloth to remove the excess of water. Place some lettuce and mint, then the carrot and chives and finally, an shrimp in halves. Fold the sides of the rice paper and roll it up in a small package. Repeat with the rest of the rolls. I've served them with soy sauce, but for the authentic Thai style I would go for sweet chilli sauce or something similar. Try them and share!
